Yarn Scouring
- Nov 24, 2018 -

Why does the whiteness of boiled yarn in clear water decrease after bleaching and even yellowing?

After boiling, the wax, pectin and nitrogen-containing substances in cotton fibers are not removed, only natural pigments are removed compulsively during bleaching, so it seems to have reached certain whiteness, but for a longer time, wax and pectin can still be exposed, and the whiteness of the yarn decreases accordingly.

Therefore, bleached yarn must be scoured by alkali agent, improper scouring, degreasing and impurity removal of yarn or unclean washing after scouring will greatly reduce the quality of bleaching.
